Growing A Natural Lawn & Green Living in a Toxic World
We are excited to announce the following workshop:

"Growing A Natural Lawn & Green Living in a Toxic World"
Patti & Doug Wood, Grassroots Environmental Education

Saturday, March 10th
10 am - 12 pm
Hilltop Hanover Farm
1271 Hanover Street
Yorktown Heights, NY

Patti and Doug will discuss the following:

- Growing A Natural Lawn (Doug Wood) - How to develop and maintain lush, healthy turf without chemical pesticides or synthetic fertilizers. This program will include information about basic soil testing, how to use compost to increase biological life, maintaining proper pH, organic fertilizers and other amendments, aeration tips, mowing heights and irrigation solutions.

- Green Living in a Toxic World (Patti Wood) - A dynamic, interactive presentation about critical environmental issues. With an informed understanding of the health risks associated with common environmental exposures, you and your community can be involved in taking preventative action and finding practical solutions to these risks.

Patti and Doug Wood are the founders of Grassroots Environmental Education, a non-profit organization based in Port Washington, NY with a branch office in Scarsdale, NY. Grassroots developed the award-winning Grassroots Healthy Lawn Program which was pioneered in Westchester County beginning in 2005.

The workshop is FREE and we will provide handouts/brochures for all attendees.  To sign up, please contact me at 914-995-6535 or sad8@westchestergov.com.  Space is limited, so contact me today!

Hope to see you on March 10th!
