Peekskill Ordinance
        The Town of Cortlandt, in conjunction with the Village of Croton, Buchanan, and Town of Yorktown, have filed a joint lawsuit against Peekskill, challenging a Peekskill ordinance banning debris haulers from driving through the city without a $250.00 permit.

Tom Wood, the attorney for the Town of Cortlandt appeared in court today on the action against Peekskill.  The judge granted the preliminary injunction, Peekskill is enjoined from enforcing the law in the manner that they have been doing so.  The judge's decision will be available in the next two weeks.  The case has been adjourned until a date in January.
