Notice Regarding the Water System
June 1, 2005
The Water Main Replacement Project in the Harmon area is beginning this month. Residents should be aware that although construction may be limited to the immediate project area, episodes of discolored water can also affect homes in other areas of the Village with taps on water mains that are connected to the areas being shut down. Both planned and emergency shutdowns are inevitable during this process although we will strive to keep them to a minimum. It would be prudent to check the Village website for updates and notices regarding planned shutdowns which may cause discoloration in these other areas. After full flow is restored, running the water from your faucet for a few minutes may help to clear it up. The total project is expected to take about eight months and will result in a cleaner and more robust water
supply system benefiting all our residents. We appreciate your patience during this period.
