House Passes Amendment to Railroad Law
On wednesday, October 17, 2007, a day after the hearing at which Mayor Schmidt testified, the House of Representatives passed, by a vote of 377 to 38, the Pallone bill that would eliminate STB preemption of state and local authority over solid waste facilities.
