Emergency Blood Drive
The snowy weather on December 2 kept many blood donors from coming to the drive at Croton High School early this month. The blood supply is critically low at this holiday time of year, so Hudson Valley Blood Services has scheduled an emergency drive on Sunday, December
16 at the Community Room of the Stanley Kellerhouse Municipal Building from 9:00 to 2:30. Won’t you consider spending an hour to give the most precious gift – the gift of life? People who are in good health between the ages of 16 and 76 may donate. Each person is carefully screened prior to donation, and those who should not donate are not permitted to do so. Being a blood donor involves no risk what-so-ever, since all equipment touching the donor is brand-new, sterile, disposable, and used only once. Call Carol Shanesy, 271-7645, or Jo Ann Fannon, 271-5529, or email you have questions. Appointments are not necessary. The Municipal Building is located at Van Wyck Street and Old Post Road North in Croton-on-Hudson. |
