2011 Half Toughman Triathlon September 11, 2011
Village of Croton-on-Hudson E-Notice
On Sunday, 11 September 2011, the Toughman Triathlon will take place.  The event starts at 7 am at Croton Point Park Beach with the swim segment as the first leg.  The bicycle leg of the Triathlon begins approximately 7:30 and lasts approximately 4 hours.  The bicyclists will begin at Croton Point Park and travel on Village streets before heading out of the Village on Route 129.  They will return on Route 129 and travel back to Croton Point Park via Municipal Place, Half Moon Bay Drive, and the bicycle trail which connects to Croton Point Avenue.  The running leg will begin at approximately 9:45 am and last approximately 6 hours.  The runners begin and end at Croton Point Park and travel on Village streets to and from the Croton Gorge Park and Dam.

Please allow extra travelling time between 6:00 am and 4:30 pm.

There will be intermittent street closures throughout the day on the following streets:

Croton Point Avenue
South Riverside Avenue
Benedict Boulevard
Truesdale Drive
Cleveland Drive
Jacoby Street
Grand Street
Maple Street
Route 129
Municipal Place
Half Moon Bay Drive
Elliott Way
Bicycle Path between Elliott Way and Croton Point Avenue

The public is invited to watch the race on Sunday and to tour the exposition on Saturday at Croton Point Park. On Sunday, there is event parking at the Croton-Harmon Train Station with a shuttle bus to Croton Point Park.  For details about race routes, visit :
