Village of Croton-on-Hudson E-Notice
Con Edison crews arrived in the Village yesterday, and are back working today. We are working closely with them on priorities concerning health and safety for all our residents. Our first priority, as always, is to have Con Edison open up roads where residents are trapped and emergency vehicles can’t get through. After that, power will be restored to the rest of the Village. However, we don’t expect full restoration for a number of days.
Maple Street is now cleared, and open and safe to drive from Riverside Avenue and Route 9 to the Croton Dam.
All bridges from Westchester are open, including the Tappan Zee and Bear Mountain Bridge.
Metro-North has no train service due to signal systems that were damaged by the storm.
Any wires down need to be treated as live until Con Edison verifies they are not live. Given the high number of locations in Croton where we have wires down, we urge residents to be extremely cautious when walking outside, especially after dark.
The Community Room in Village Hall will remain open for residents who wish to charge their cell phones and lap tops. We will be sending further notifications as conditions change.
