Village of Croton-on-Hudson E-Notice
Dear Friends of the Croton Conservation Advisory Council and Foes of Invasive Vines:
Our first vine-cutting of 2014 is scheduled for Saturday, January 18, from 9 AM to 1 PM. Join us for however long or short you'd like; your participation will have an impact and will be greatly appreciated!
We will meet at the entrance to the Pump House property on Route 129. We need to keep the entrance clear for emergency access, so please park on Daley Drive. It is a short walk up 129 to
the Pump House. Dress accordingly and bring pruning tools, hand snips, loppers and pruning saws. Severe weather cancels.
We are able to access this property, which is not open to the public, with the permission of the Department of Public Works. So, in addition to the satisfaction of removing the invasive vines that are threatening the eco-system of our beloved Croton River, joining us will give you the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of this stretch of the river.
Hope to see you there,
Guy Pardee and Judith Stein Coleman
