Croton-Harmon PTAs Will Host Board of Education Candidates Forum
The Croton-Harmon PTAs will be hosting a Croton-Harmon School District Board of Education Candidates Forum on Tuesday, May 13, at 7:30 pm in the Multipurpose Room at Carrie E. Tompkins (CET) Elementary School which is located at 8 Gerstein Street, Croton on Hudson. The Tuesday, May 20, 2014, election ballot will include five candidates who are running for three open Croton-Harmon Board seats. The five candidates are Patrice Davidson, Todd Freebern, incumbent Neal Haber, Carleen Julian and Ann Marie Sasso. The two incumbents who have decided not to seek another term are Karen Zevin and Lisa Wolland.
The purpose of the event is to provide a means for the Croton-Harmon parents and community to meet and learn about the candidates. Attendees of the event will include members of the Croton-Harmon PTAs, Croton-Harmon administration and staff, Croton-Harmon parents, residents of the Croton-Harmon community and it will be moderated by a representative from the League of Women Voters. The forum will be videotaped and replayed on Channel 55.
The forum will be conducted as a question and answer session andwill not include any debate. The agenda will include:
· Candidate introductions (limited to two minutes)
· Moderator directed written question response (two minutes)
· Candidate closing remarks (limited to two minutes)
Croton Harmon School District residents are invited to suggest questions either via email to email@example.com or by dropping a hard copy into the box located at the Croton Free Library. The deadline to submit these questions is Monday, May 12 at 5 pm.
