Public Workshop - Local Waterfront Revitalization Program Update
Village of Croton-on-Hudson E-Notice

The Village of Croton-on-Hudson will hold the first Public Workshop on the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) update on April 29th, 2015. The goal of the workshop is to provide an overview of the LWRP update process and to identify key issues and opportunities facing the Village’s waterfront. The workshop will be held from 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm at the Harmon Firehouse at 30 Wayne Street. All interested residents, employees, property owners and other stakeholders are encouraged to attend.

The purpose of this Public Workshop is for participants to learn about the New York State LWRP program and how the LWRP can encourage improvements to the waterfront, discuss the community’s vision for the Village of Croton-on-Hudson’s waterfront, identify critical issues and begin to talk about potential projects that can support the community vision.

The LWRP review process, begun in January 2015, is being carried out by the Village of Croton-on-Hudson through an advisory committee composed of Village staff, elected officials and representation from the Waterfront Advisory Committee, to work with the consultant team of BFJ Planning. The current LWRP was adopted in 1992 and most projects from that plan have been implemented. The LWRP update will reflect new goals and policies as well as development that has occurred in the past 23 years.

There will be additional opportunities for public outreach as part of the project, including a second public workshop on June 30th, at the Croton Yacht Club.
