Public Meeting on the NYS Clean Energy Standard (CES) Program - 6/16

Please be advised that the New York State Department of Public Service has scheduled a meeting to discuss the Clean Energy Standard (CES) program on Thursday, June 16 at the Muriel Morabito Community Center, 29 Westbrook Drive, Cortlandt Manor, NY. Please see below for details.

The Clean Energy Standard program mandates that by the year 2030, half of the electricity used in the State will come from renewable resources such as solar, wind and hydro. The Governor also directed the Department of Public Service to explore ways to keep emission-free nuclear power facilities operational to continue New York's greenhouse gas emissions reductions. Proposed as a core component of Governor Cuomo's Reforming the Energy Vision, the benefit of the CES are highlighted in a complementary factsheet found at the website and searching for "Clean Energy Standard."
