Village of Croton-on-Hudson E-Notice
Please be advised that Hudson National Golf Club will soon be starting work on their new practice range. Although the project is located within the Town of Cortlandt, Village residents may experience the following impacts:
-Traffic on Arrowcrest Drive: Over the next six weeks, there will be increased traffic on Arrowcrest Drive with a maximum of eight to ten trucks per day removing brush debris. The bulk of the traffic will occur on weekdays with occasional Saturday activity. Once this work has been completed, traffic will be less frequent, with most of the work being limited to on-site activity. Residents on Arrowcrest Drive can expect to receive notification from Hudson National.
-Blasting: Blasting is scheduled to occur for the practice facility during March, April and a part of May 2017. Vibrations from this work may be sensed up to 2,000 feet away and air movement could be felt farther away depending on weather conditions.~ The Town has required that notification be sent to all property owners within 1,000 foot radius, which may extend to 1,500 feet. Further, additional notifications will be sent before blasting begins.
-Trails: The club has begun initial work on the practice area. For safety reasons, the Village and Brinton Brook trails near the construction site will be closed starting now until further notice. The trails will reopen when conditions are safe for hikers. The split rail fence barriers and signs have been installed to block trail goers from using the closed section of trails adjacent to the construction area. This was discussed and agreed on by: HNGC, Saw Mill River Audubon, and the Village Trails Committee.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call the Village Manager’s office at 271-4848.
