Croton Volunteer Fire Department 125th Anniversary Parade June 10th 1pm
Village of Croton-on-Hudson E-Notice

Please plan on joining your neighbors this Saturday June 10th, 2017 as we celebrate our Volunteer Fire Department’s 125th Anniversary.  The anniversary will be commemorated with a parade taking place in the Harmon area of the Village between Veterans Corners and the Croton-Harmon Train Station.  Approximately 20 different Fire and EMS Departments from around the County, several marching bands and invited guests will be joining the parade to honor our Fire Department.   The Parade route will start at Veterans Corners at 1pm, continue along Cleveland Drive, Benedict Blvd. South Riverside Avenue, Croton Point Avenue, and end at the train station.  The parade can be viewed from anywhere along the route.

Street closures and traffic impacts are as follows:

The Croton Police Department will begin to restrict traffic flow to local traffic only in the Harmon Area of the Village starting at 11:30 am on Saturday the 10th in order to allow the marchers and Fire Departments into the Area.

At 12:45pm. Cleveland Drive will be closed to traffic between Old Post Road South and Benedict Blvd.

At approximately 1:10pm westbound traffic on Benedict Blvd. will be closed off.

At approximately 1:20pm traffic on South Riverside Ave, between Benedict Blvd. and Croton Point Ave. will be closed off.  In order to access the Shoprite Shopping Center and the Croton Harmon Station it will be necessary to travel on Route 9 from Municipal Place to the Croton Point Avenue exit.

The rest of the streets will have restricted traffic flow. Please allow yourself plenty of extra time to travel through our Village.

Once the end of the Parade has passed by, the closed off streets will be re-opened as soon as possible.
