Village Water Billing Cycles and Payment Schedule
Most Village of Croton on Hudson homes are serviced with municipal potable water. A small number of homes in the village have private wells. Homes that have water services are billed twice a year for water consumption. The billing cycle is as follows:

Checks should be made payable to the Village of Croton-on-Hudson and can be mailed to the address on the front of th bill. Payments can also be made in person at the Municipal Building.
Past due accounts are assessed a 5% penalty for the first month of delinquency after the due date, and an additional 1% per month for each month thereafter. In addition, there is a one hundred ($100.00) delinquent charge added to unpaid bills after 90 days. If delinquent notification is necessary, an additional $5 surcharge is imposed.
No Exceptions.
Delinquent water bills not paid by April 1st each year will be relevied to Village Taxes. If this happens, a separate line item would appear on your tax bill identifying the delinquent water amount with applicable interest and penalties.
Postmarks are valid only if done at the U.S. Post Office, on or before the final due date.
Foreign country postmarks and private/corporate postage machines postmarks are not acceptable proof of timely payments.
