A regular meeting of the Planning Board of the Village of Croton-on-Hudson, New York was held on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 in the Municipal Building.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Chris Kehoe, Chairman
ABSENT: Mark Aarons
ALSO PRESENT: Daniel O'Connor, P.E., Village Engineer
1. Call to Order:
The meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. by Chairman Kehoe.
2. PUBLIC HEARING CONTINUED:
- Margo Francy – 57 Old Post Road North (Sec. 67.20 Blk. 2 Lot 27) – Application for a Steep Slope Permit – Request for an Adjournment
Chairman Kehoe noted that the only item on the Planning Board’s agenda tonight is a request for an adjournment of the public hearing on the Francy steep slope application. Chairman Kehoe stated that he is recused on this application; board member Fran Allen will act as chairperson.
Ms. Allen stated that the attorney for the Applicant John Gochman has written a letter to the Planning Board dated June 4, 2009 requesting that the public hearing on the Francy application be adjourned to a future date. He (Mr. Gochman) was not specific about the date. Ms. Allen asked the board members if they had any comments on the Applicant’s request for an adjournment. After a brief discussion, the Planning Board determined that they would abide by the Applicant’s request. The Planning Board asked that the Village Engineer’s office contact the Applicant to discuss a specific date for reconvening the public hearing; in the meantime, the Planning Board would adjourn the public hearing to the next meeting to be held on Tuesday, June 23rd.
Ms. Allen entertained a motion to adjourn the public hearing to the next regularly scheduled Planning Board meeting to be held on Tuesday, June 23rd. The motion was made by Mr. Luntz, seconded by Mr. Andrews and carried by a vote of 3 to 0.
The Village Engineer stated that, with respect to the technical review of this application requested by the Planning Board at the last meeting, the Planning Board has received in their packets the resume materials from three potential consulting engineering firms. The Planning Board could review these materials and make a selection once the public hearing has been reconvened.
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
The minutes of the Tuesday, May 12, 2009 Planning Board meeting were approved, as amended, on a motion by Ms. Allen, seconded by Mr. Luntz and carried by a vote of 3-0-1. Mr. Andrews abstained.
There being no further business to come before the board, the meeting was duly adjourned at 8:20 P.M.
